Sheffield Wednesday’s Matt Penney makes his way on the QPR radar as his contract …

“The manager of Owls returned to Middlewood Road last Monday after completing the required period of isolation. Moore felt perfectly fit for the job, but experienced discomfort after our home game against Swansea on Tuesday.

“Everyone at the club sends their best wishes to the gaffer for a speedy and full recovery.”

Quoting the director himself, he said: “I developed pneumonia as a result of COVID-19 with blood clots in my lungs and extreme discomfort. I am emptied of being away, but I understand the situation and the course of action that I must take.

Speaking about his battle with COVID-19 earlier in the month, the boss of Owls explained: “The best way to describe it is that my body suffered for four or five days, because of the bone structure, the bones of my shoulders, chest, legs. I was in a lot of pain.

“My breathing restrictions on my chest were pretty limited, but the doc we have here was excellent, I had steroids which helped me a lot and I started to feel a lot better by day 3 of this steroid course in terms of my feeling.

“It was pain, a weird, my whole bone structure in my body was really aching, it drains you and it was a feeling of lethargy all over me.

And there were other concerns for Owls’ boss because of his asthma… He also explained, “This is something that I have always had to keep in mind all my life. When this disease took hold of me, it was a concern, we know how serious it is. The doctor was excellent in keeping the medication with me. He hadn’t left me since he arrived, every day he was there.
