TWO men have been charged with stabbing a boy.
Police were called to the Beacon at Terminus Road in Eastbourne on Saturday evening after a 17-year-old suffered several ‘significant’ stab wounds to the stomach.
The victim was taken to hospital, where she remains in stable condition.
Police have now charged two men with intentional injury and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Inno Makolo, 20, unemployed, of Chatsworth Road, Hackney, and Ashley Roberts-Araujo, 19, a scaffolder, from Sutton Way, Kensington and Chelsea appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court today and were taken into custody provisional to then appear in court on May 14.
A Sussex Police spokesperson said: ‘Police would like to thank all members of the public who assisted the victim at the scene, and all who have come forward to support the investigation.
“Officers continue to ask all witnesses to make contact either online or by calling 101 citing Operation Parkham.
“Alternatively, information can be passed to the police anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
