Rotherham United’s hopes of remaining in the Championship were affected by their 1-0 loss to Birmingham City.
It was tough on the Millers, who had enjoyed the best of a low-quality game.

Viktor johansson – didn’t work much, produced a good second part by Lukas Jutkiewicz 7
Wes harding – he came forward when he could and his long throws were a threat 6
Michael Ihiekwe – dealt with what the little town of Birmigham threw at him 6
Richard Wood – got stuck, even overlapped at one point, and ended up with his head tied. A rugby tackle that had him cautioned was the only blemish 7
Angus macdonald – seemed to be struggling in the second half, but kept going 6
Clark robertson – a lovely pass to free Wood down the left was his highlight 6
Matty crooks – made an excellent sliding tackle on Jonathan Leko, but couldn’t have the attacking influence he would have wanted from a deeper position 6
Shaun macdonald – fought well in central midfield 6
Lewis wing – the ray of sunshine in a low quality fight 8
Michael smith – He missed a good chance of a Crooks kick and put a header on the roof of the net. 5
Freddie ladapo – showed some brilliant moments without being able to finish 7.
George Hirst (by Ladapo, 80) – a brilliant twist was his first contribution 6
