Barnet teenagers accused of theft in Hampstead UK News

Police say two teenage girls have been charged with a series of “violent” robberies.

Metropolitan Police said two girls were arrested from homes in Barnet on Tuesday April 20 on suspicion of four robbery offenses.

The Met said it was investigating the thefts that took place in Hampstead on the evening of March 23.

The victims were single women who were punched and kicked, then stolen cash or forced to withdraw money from ATMs.

Subsequent investigations into the incidents were conducted by the Met’s Venice Investigation Team.

  • A 16-year-old girl from Barnet has been charged with four counts of theft. She was due to appear in custody at Highbury Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday 21 April).
  • A 17-year-old girl from Barnet has been charged with four counts of theft. She was due to appear in custody at Highbury Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday 21 April).
