Two roads in the Barnet area are expected to close temporarily from Monday for road works.
The Barnet Council notices in this week’s edition of the Barnet Borough Times detail the closures that will affect Queens Parade Close and Cheviot Gardens.
Queens Parade Close is expected to be closed to traffic at its junction with Hollyfield Avenue, while the Queens Parade Close one-way system, between Colney Hatch Lane and Hollyfield Avenue, will also be suspended while a new power connection is installed.
The order will take effect from 8 am on Monday and the work is expected to last two days. However, the one-way closure and suspension will only be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
Part of Cheviot Gardens will also be closed for one day only on Mondays for access to gas pressure reduction equipment.
Another closure is scheduled to take effect at 10 p.m. on Sunday, May 2 on Bedford Avenue at its junction with A1000 Barnet Hill for sewer and drain cleaning.
This is expected to last three days, but the work will only take place overnight from 10:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each day.
