Four children were taken to hospital after suffering a “violent reaction” to eating sweets believed to contain cannabis, police said.
Officers were called to a parade of stores on Pound Lane, Epsom, at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, and found three children vomiting uncontrollably and falling in and out of consciousness.
The 12-year-old girl, 12-year-old boy and 13-year-old boy were taken to hospital by ambulance.
Another 12-year-old boy, who also allegedly ate the candy, was taken to hospital by his family as a precaution.
The four children will remain in the hospital overnight for observation.
