Police identify man stabbed to death in Brent Cross UK News

A third arrest was made as police identified the 21-year-old stabbed to death at a northwest London shopping center.

Metropolitan Police officers were called to the Brent Cross Shopping Center at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday following reports of a group of men fighting.

The force said Gedeon Ngwendema, 21, was the victim found stabbed at the scene, before dying soon after, despite the efforts of officers, members of the public and ambulance personnel.

A post-mortem examination was carried out at the Northwick Park morgue on Wednesday and found the cause of death to be a single stab wound.

Police said a 20-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday for murder at his Harrow home.

It comes after an 18-year-old man was arrested for murder and another 22-year-old man was arrested for murder and brawling on Tuesday.

The three men are in detention.

A crime scene was in place in the mall following the incident and police warned the public to expect an increased presence of officers in the area.

Chief Detective Inspector Linda Bradley, head of the investigation, said: ‘We are directly requesting information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident and who is in a position to assist us in our investigation. .

“We especially urge anyone with footage of the incident or aftermath to contact us immediately.

“There were a significant number of people nearby when this tragic incident happened and I am sure there are people who have yet to come forward.

“As insignificant as it may sound, please contact the police as soon as possible.

“As you can imagine, Gedeon’s family is grieving unimaginably and we want to bring them answers and justice as quickly as possible.

“This is a complex investigation and we appreciate the support and understanding of the local community as we continue to conduct our investigations.”
