VIDEO captures the dramatic moment when a car was engulfed in flames.
The fire department was called to Davigdor Road, Hove, this morning after receiving reports of a car fire.
Images taken by a bystander at the scene show black smoke billowing from the car.
In the video, firefighters can be seen rushing to fight the blaze.
They then used a hose to fight the flames.
A spokeswoman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue said: “We were called at 11:11 am at Davigdor Road to receive information about a car fire.
“We used two breathing apparatuses and fire fighting foam.
“No reports of injuries.
