A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said officers were called at 6:09 a.m. on Sunday 9 May, citing concerns for the safety of an occupant at an address on Atlantic Road, Lowedges.
The 38-year-old man is still in police custody.
According to a resident, at least three police cars and an ambulance were seen in the area earlier today.
