Man stabbed to death in Brent Cross shopping center UK News

A teenager on suspicion of murder has been arrested after fatally stabbing a 21-year-old man in a shopping mall.

Police were called to Brent Cross Shopping Center at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday following reports of a group of men fighting.

Officers came and found a 21-year-old man who had been stabbed.

Despite the efforts of officers, members of the public and ambulance personnel, the man died at the scene.

Hundreds of people were evacuated from the mall as a result of the incident and Metropolitan Police said there were likely a number of witnesses.

An 18-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of murder.

A second man, also 18, was arrested on suspicion of a fight.

Senior Superintendent Sara Leach, who is in charge of law and order in North West London, said: “My thoughts are with the relatives of the young man who was killed in this incident.

“I want to thank the members of the public who came to his aid. They have shown considerable courage.

“Two people have been arrested and an investigation is already underway. We will do our utmost to identify and bring to justice those responsible.

“The public can expect to see an increased police presence in the region for the remainder of this evening and in the days to come.”
