A GANG attacked a young man in a heretofore unexplained attack.
The 20-year-old victim was assaulted in Bembrook Road, Hastings by a group of four other men.
He suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.
Police believe a white car or small white van in the area near Croft Road may have been linked to the crime.
It happened at 8:20 p.m. on Sunday May 16.
Detective Constable Mitchell Humby said: ‘The exact motive for this attack is unknown at this time, although it was an isolated incident and there is no indication that there is a threat anymore. wide for the public.
“We would like to speak to anyone who lives in the Bembrook Road / Croft Road area or who was there that evening and who may have witnessed the assault or a group of men chasing someone.
“We’re also particularly interested in talking to anyone who sees a white car or perhaps a small van driving suspiciously at the same time and place.
