Manhunt suspect arrested for murder of woman and son in Louth | UK News

A 29-year-old man, who was chased by police in connection with the murder of a mother and son in Lincolnshire, has been arrested.

Armed officers and several police vehicles were involved in the arrest at a farm in Hallington, near Louth.

Two were seen escorting a man with no shoes or socks, and ripped sweatpants, into a police van in the back of a farm building.

The 26-year-old woman and her nine-year-old son were found fatally stabbed in Louth on Monday.

A knife believed to have been used to inflict the wounds was found – and another child was found unharmed on the property.

Police had called for Daniel Boulton in connection with their deaths and while in custody a Lincolnshire police officer on leave was injured.

He is currently being held for questioning on suspicion of murder and injuring a police officer.

Lincolnshire Police Chief Crime Officer Chief Detective Superintendent Andy Cox said: “This is a set of tragic, extraordinary and disturbing circumstances in equal measure.

“A woman and a child lost their lives in the most devastating way and I know their loved ones will feel the magnitude today and our hearts are with them.

“We have also seen communities in Louth, and even further afield, who are no doubt worried about possible danger in the city since last night.

“To all of you, I want to thank you. You have listened to our safety advice and shared our calls, which has helped us all do our jobs to the best of our ability.”
