Drug traffickers jailed in drug bite in Hertfordshire counties UK News

Two drug traffickers who ran a drug ring in the counties of Hertfordshire have been jailed.

Haben Emmanuel, 21, of Redwood Way, Barnet, was among two traffickers jailed for smuggling crack and heroin in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

The Mantis team from the Hertfordshire Constabulary attacking the county limits arrested a man and woman at an address in Holly Copse, Stevenage, in February 2021 after executing a search warrant.

During the operation, drugs and money were seized, as well as a cell phone with evidence that they were actively selling Class A drugs in the city between September 2020 and February 2021.

The couple were charged the same day and remanded in custody. They then appeared in St Albans Crown Court, where both pleaded guilty to conspiring to supply heroin and cocaine.

Emmanuel was sentenced to four years and four months in prison, while Katrina Watkinson, 32, of Holly Copse, was sentenced to three years.

Detective Inspector Alex Willcox, of the Serious and Organized Crime Command of the Hertfordshire Constabulary, said: “Emmanuel ran the Hollywood Line, which supplied a significant amount of cocaine and heroin to Stevenage. The dismantling of this line will have a significant impact on drug use and associated crime in Stevenage and surrounding areas. It also sends a clear message that drug trafficking will not go unpunished and anyone involved will be arrested and jailed.

“It would have been much more difficult to detect and dismantle this line without the help of the local community. This case shows that if we receive information, we will act on it and make communities safer. ”
