15-year-old boy charged with murder after teenager fatally stabbed during school run in Hayes | UK News

A 15-year-old boy has appeared in court for murder after a teenager was stabbed during the school run in Hayes, west London.

Jalan Woods-Bell, 15, died on the streets Friday morning near the Global Academy – a college for students aged 14 to 19.

Police said they were called over reports of a fight on Blyth Road and that Jalan was found stabbed.

Teacher Tia Rek-Williams, 21, told the PA News Agency: “I didn’t see the initial stab, but I saw past the point where the boy was on the ground. . “

She said about six people tried to help the boy and emergency services used a defibrillator on him.

She added: “It happened literally in the middle of the street, not in an alley, in front of people’s houses. It’s just awful.”

The teenager accused of murder appeared in Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Saturday. He is from Hillingdon but cannot be named for legal reasons.

Chief Superintendent of Police met, Peter Gardner, said: “I am deeply saddened to learn of the tragic loss of a child’s life due to a knife crime in Hillingdon.

“This incident, which claimed the life of a 15-year-old boy, took place during this morning’s school run.

“One family has been devastated and the effects of this terrible incident will reverberate in all of our communities.

“As a parent of a teenager myself, I cannot imagine the pain the family is going through and I offer our deepest condolences and support.”

He said police patrols in the area will be stepped up.
