A woman has died after falling off a cliff on Man O’War Beach near Durdle Door in Dorset.
The incident took place shortly after 3 p.m. Monday afternoon at the popular coastal site near Lulworth.
The woman was descending the 150-foot-high rocky cliffs that are part of the famous monument.
But she fell on rocks below the cliff overlooking the beach.
Emergency services were called in, including police and coast guard, as well as two crews and a technical rescue team from the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Services.
Dorset Police said the woman died at the scene.
“Officers are investigating the circumstances of this tragic incident,” a spokesperson said.
