Murder victim killed in the stable of his horse stalked by a stalker | United Kingdom | New UK News

The deceased woman, named locally as part-time model Gracie Spinks, 23, was found seriously injured in Duckmanton, near Chesterfield, Derbyshire on Friday morning. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The body of a man in his 30s was found half a mile away the same morning, and Derbyshire Police are linking the deaths. A friend said: “We know she had a stalker but didn’t know who he was.

“We heard that she took an injunction because he was becoming a real pest. He was obsessed with her and kept showing up at the stables, but we don’t know if this man is the same man who killed her and himself.

Police said they had not formally identified any of the deceased and a spokesperson said: “As this is a live investigation we are unable to comment.”

But they added, “We are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths. We have found and informed the two families, and specialized agents are supporting them at the moment. “

Tributes to Gracie poured in on social media yesterday and a crowdfunding page was set up to help her bereaved family cover the costs of childcare for her horse, Paddy.

Best friend Ben Robotham wrote: “I can’t believe I have to write this about my beautiful and caring best friend who was taken her life yesterday by an act of
total selfishness.

Another friend added: “I can’t even understand what happened today. Such a beautiful girl with a huge heart.

Yesterday afternoon, a GoFundMe page created by Abbey Griffin, another friend of Gracie’s, raised over £ 2,500 to take care of Paddy, “at the behest of her family”. Ms. Griffin wrote: “Gracie was a beautiful girl. At only 23, she had already touched the lives of so many people and what beautiful memories she leaves behind.

“She was a caring and loving person and was always happy to help. She was also so, so stubborn and she always stood up for what was right.

“If you knew Gracie, you would also know that she was crazy about horses and that she had the most beautiful horse called Paddy that she loved very much.

“While no amount of money can ever bring Gracie back, I ask that you do all you can to help her family at this time.”
