Police call encountered following stabbing in Whetstone UK News

A 29-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital after being stabbed Thursday.

Detectives have appealed for members of the public to provide information.

Police were called at 10:24 p.m. on Thursday June 17 to report a scuffle in High Road, Whetstone.

Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and found a 29-year-old man with knife wounds.

He was taken to a north London hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Detective Inspector Jonathan Newell said: “The victim of this incident is gravely ill in hospital with his distraught family by his bedside. We are doing everything we can to support them and provide them with answers to their questions. .

“Our investigation is moving forward and progressing rapidly. We have made a significant number of arrests but there is still a lot of work to be done. The public can help us. I think there has been at least one person who filmed this incident on his mobile phone. I need these people to contact us – it is imperative that we know all about the events leading up to it. ”

Five men, aged 27, 28, 29, 29 and 29, were arrested on Friday June 18 on suspicion of a brawl. They were taken to North London Police Station and then released on bail.

Four other men aged 27, 33, 35 and 55 were arrested on Saturday June 19 on suspicion of attempted murder.
