The lineup for the new Love Island series has been revealed ahead of its launch next week.

This year’s 11 nominees include a physical education teacher who played for the England disabled cricket team, a civil servant and a former glamor model.

ITV has not revealed where the new season of the dating show is filmed, but the first episode will air on June 28.

Island of love has not been filmed in its usual location in Mallorca since before coronavirus pandemic, the very first winter edition of the show taking place in South Africa Last year.

Hugo Hammond, 24 years old

Hammond is the show’s first contestant with a physical disability.

He was born with a club foot, played for the England Cricket Team for the Physically Handicapped and teaches at a secondary school in Hampshire.

“I was born with a clubfoot. I had a lot of operations when I was a kid. It only really shows when I walk barefoot. I have a very short Achilles heel. tiptoe, ”he said.

Sharon Gaffka, 25

Gaffka, from Oxford, worked as an operations manager for the Department of Transport and has been a civil servant since the age of 18.

“I’ve worked in many different departments. I’ve been in Brexit politics for the past year, stinted during the coronavirus pandemic at the Department of Health, so I was helping deliver test kits and to manage operations. It has been an intense year! ” she said.
