Stonehenge Solstice Festival Halted After 100 Bans Ignored | United Kingdom | New UK News

About 100 people climbed a fence at the stone circle and unfurled a banner that read: “Stand up for Stonehenge”.

More than 200,000 people from around the world tune in to a live stream of the event at Stonehenge, which has been officially closed to the public due to Covid restrictions.

A spokeswoman for English Heritage said: “Unfortunately, a small number of people ignored our request not to go to Stonehenge and entered the site.

that put themselves, our staff and the police at risk. “
