UPDATE: Bedford registers 13 new cases of Covid Bedford News

As of today (June 21), Bedford has registered 13 new cases of the coronavirus, with a total of 15,203 people now diagnosed with the deadly virus, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

There were no deaths in Bedford (482), Central Bedfordshire (571) or Luton (504).

Central Bedfordshire has 13 new cases of Covid with a total of 16,908, while Luton has registered 26, with a new total of 21,707.

Meanwhile, Buckinghamshire now has 32,800 Covid cases, Hertfordshire 79,438 and Milton Keynes 20,862 cases.

The new figures are recorded between 5 p.m. the day before and 5 p.m. and unfortunately do not include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

In Bedford, to date, 115,871 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccine and 79,852 have received their second dose. In the UK, 74,577,678 people have been vaccinated.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has increased by 10,633 and now stands at 4,640,507. There have been five deaths, bringing the total to 127,981.
