Attack on Yeovil pub restroom leaves man in hospital with broken ribs and punctured lung Bath City News

A man has been taken to hospital with broken ribs and a punctured lung after an attack in a pub toilet.

The man, in his 20s, was assaulted on the premises of The Arrow pub in Yeovil last week.

Avon and Somerset Police are keen to speak to another man who “helped him get back on his feet” after being injured.

Officers were called to the pub along the Forum on Sunday, June 13 and have now called for witnesses.

The victim was assaulted in the men’s restroom shortly after 8:50 p.m. and suffered “several broken ribs and a punctured lung,” police said.

He was taken to hospital but has since been released.

PC Jessica Forsey said: “Investigations into what happened, including the review of the CCTV footage, are ongoing.

“We are eager to hear from everyone who witnessed what happened, but we would especially ask the young man who helped the victim get back on his feet after the assault to contact us, to let us know. if they saw anything that might help our investigation.

The pub, which is part of the Marstonʼs channel, was probably busy that day as it was showing the England v Croatia football game earlier in the afternoon.
