A man has been remanded in custody after a gun incident in Weston-super-Mare.

Liam Nicholl, 21, was charged after an incident on Richmond Street in the early hours of June 25.

He was charged with possession of a firearm with intent to instigate fear of violence and with attempting to provoke GBH.

After appearing in Taunton Magistrates’ Court, Nicholl’s was remanded in custody, ready to appear in Crown court on July 16.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: “A 21-year-old man appeared in court for possession of a firearm with intent to instigate fear of violence and attempt to provoke the GBH.

Liam Nicholl, of Weston-super-Mare, appeared in Taunton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (June 26) where he was remanded in custody pending an appearance in Crown court on the 16th. July.

“The charges relate to an incident on Richmond Street in Weston-super-Mare in the early hours of Friday (June 25).”
