The British and Irish Lions’ tour of South Africa is underway and the team will play their first game on South African soil on July 3.

Here’s the full list of Lions South Africa Tour 2021 fixtures – and how to watch on TV.

When does the Lions tour start?

The Lions began their summer games on familiar ground when Japan visited Murrayfield on Saturday, June 26, 2021, which saw Warren Gatland’s side claim a 28-10 victory over Japan.

The Gatland Lions will play against the Sigma Lions on Saturday, July 3 – one of five games they will play before the Tri-Test Series begins against the Springboks later this month.

The matches against the Super Rugby teams DHL Stormers, Cell C Sharks and Vodacom Bulls will allow tourists to acclimatize before the three Tests.

Gatland’s side, which will be led on the pitch by Welsh captain Alun Wyn Jones, will also have meetings against a South Africa A.

How can I watch the Lions Tour on TV?

All games on the Lions Tour will be broadcast live on television.

Sky Sports has won the television broadcast rights to the 2021 Lions South Africa tour and will be televising all the action live on one or more of its dedicated channels.

Sky Sports packages cost over £ 18 per month for individual channels of existing Sky customers, while the full sports package costs £ 25 per month.

Matches can also be streamed wirelessly through the TalkSport radio station.

Channel 4 has the rights to the Lions pre-tour game against Japan and will broadcast highlights from the South African Tests. All4 will display highlights from all matches on the tour.
