Euro 2020: Boris Johnson takes stock of Wembley’s ability for England against Italy UK News

Boris Johnson has said there are currently no plans to increase England’s capacity for Euro 2020’s final clash with Italy on Sunday night.

The nation will be at a standstill as the Three Lions finally try to add to the 1966 World Cup triumph.

England’s first-ever European Championship final is the reward for years of progress and a month to cherish in these difficult and divided times.

After dominating Group D, finally beating old German opponents and sidelining Ukraine, Harry Kane beat Denmark 2-1 in extra time to finally end their semi-final.

They were 40,000 inside Wembley roaring against Gareth Southgate’s men when they beat Germany 2-0.

The capacity was then increased to 60,000 for last night’s semi-final victory over Denmark.

The increase in capacity had given fans hope that there might still be more tickets available heading into the final this weekend.

It is the most popular ticket in town, with some tickets selling for up to £ 20,000 for a pair.

However, it seems unlikely that we will see a full capacity Wembley stadium on Sunday.

The Prime Minister’s official spokesperson said: “There are no plans to expand the capacity”

The Prime Minister praised Gareth Southgate for doing an “absolutely exceptional job” in leading the men’s national team.

The final whistle sparked a pandemonium in the ground and across the country as dreams of returning home football drew closer to reality.

When asked if he could learn from the English manager’s leadership style and if it could soon be Sir Gareth, Mr.

“But I clearly think Gareth Southgate did an absolutely exceptional job.

“What strikes me as so amazing is how he varies it, he mixes it up and plays a bunch of different options depending on the game in question.”
