A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the discovery of a body in a village near Bedford.
Kamil Leszczynski, 33, of Knox Road, Wellingborough, was discovered Thursday (July 1) around 4:30 p.m. near a farm track in fields off Turvey Road, between the villages of Carlton and Turvey.
Last night (Wednesday July 7), agents from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit (MCU) arrested a man in quarantine from Northamptonshire in connection with the incident.
He remains in custody for questioning.
MCU detectives carried out a roadblock today (Thursday, July 8) on Turvey Road, near where Mr Leszczynski was found a week ago.
MCU Detective Superintendent Ian Simmons, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our business today is trying to locate anyone who may have walked through this area last week, seen nothing or captured any footage.
“Although we have made an arrest in this case, we continue to call on anyone with information, whether you know Kamil, whether you know where he was or his movements last week, or whether you were familiar with the area. where his body was found, to make contact.
“No information is too small. Our murder investigation goes through a careful process to establish what happened to Kamil and if you can help in any way please contact us.
