Three Men Arrested After Woman Dies From Serious Burns at Bury Address | Recent news

Three men have been arrested following the death of a woman with severe burns at an address in Bury, Greater Manchester Police have said.

Police were called to report that a woman suffered severe burns at an address on East Street in Bury last night.

The 31-year-old was found by emergency services and suffered severe burns.

She was taken to hospital but died soon after.

Three men, aged 34, 24 and 26, were arrested in connection with the incident and remain in detention for questioning.

Police and fire investigators are now working to establish the circumstances of what happened.

Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident and have reassured the public that they believe it was an isolated event.

Chief Detective Inspector Daniel Clegg of the Major Incidents Team said: “This is a truly devastating incident in which a woman tragically lost her life.

“There will be an increased presence of emergency services in the area as we work to establish all the circumstances surrounding this death. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to one of our agents who will be happy to share information.

“Although we have made some arrests, our investigation is still in its early stages and we are following a number of investigative leads.”
