Potters Bar: teenager dies after motorcycle crashes into lamppost UK News

A 19-year-old man has died after his motorbike crashed into a lamppost.

The accident happened at Stagg Hill at the Potters Bar at 3:10 p.m. yesterday.

He was heading north on his gray Honda moped towards Potters Bar, when it crashed into the lamppost. He wore a rather distinctive black and green jacket.

A surgeon and doctor quickly attended the scene and along with other members of the public and rescue workers attempted to save the man, but unfortunately his injuries were fatal.

Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Police Unit Sergeant Simon Cooper, who is investigating the collision, said: ‘We have dashboard camera footage but we know it there were other cars in the area at the time. We would like to talk to the drivers and passengers, so that we can piece together exactly what happened yesterday afternoon. If you were in the area and saw the collision, or the moped before the collision, please contact us.

“The surgeon and the doctor who were traveling behind the moped immediately started first aid and did their best to save the man. I want to thank everyone who stopped by to try and help this young man.
