Six fire engines called to shoot at junkyard in Newhaven Brighton News

Firefighters are at the scene of a fire in a junkyard.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue was called into the fire at East Quay, Newhaven, around 5:48 p.m. on Tuesday, August 24.

A total of six pumps are present – from Seaford, Newhaven, Lewes, Preston Circus and Hove.

The fire is said to be in a junkyard.

Earlier this year, firefighters witnessed a “deep” fire at Ripley Scrapyard in Newhaven.

Four devices intervened and the fire was located under scrap metal.
