Teenager seriously injured after collision in Horsham Brighton News

POLICE is calling for witnesses after a teenage girl was left with “potentially life-shattering” facial injuries from a car accident.

The 18-year-old woman, from Bolney, was rushed to hospital by air ambulance on Tuesday August 24 after the car she was in collided with a house in Horsham.

Officers were called to report a collision on the A24 Dorking Road, Horsham, around 9:30 am.

A white Ford Fiesta was driving southbound before leaving the roadway.

The driver, an 18-year-old woman from West Ashling, near Chichester, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury through reckless driving and for operating a motor vehicle while exceeding the limit of blood alcohol level.

She was released under investigation as investigations continue.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, saw the vehicle driving along the A24 before the collision, or has dashboard camera footage that could help officers with their investigation can send a collision email. appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk citing serial number 0312 of 08/24.
