Paint was smeared on a police car in Sheffield when police arrived at the scene of a disturbance in a family home

South Yorkshire Police said police had been deployed to a house in north Sheffield to deal with a 29-year-old man already wanted for burglary who showed up at his parents’ house and started causing damage criminals.

He left just before the police arrived, but then returned and, after spotting the police car parked outside, threw a can of paint on the car.

The man also removed the cameras from the police car before fleeing.
