How to watch the 2021 London Marathon, including the start time UK News

The London Marathon returns for 2021 this Sunday (October 3) and around 100,000 runners are expected to take part, making it the biggest event to date.

After a virtual event was held in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, a physical marathon was able to make a comeback due to the lifting of restrictions.

Competitors have been training for months now and are said to have been at the London Marathon Running Show this week to drop off their kitbag and lateral flow test.

Many of us will be happy to just attend the event, but for those who don’t go in person, there is still the option of watching on TV.

The BBC will once again host the coverage, although it was recently announced that it could switch to another broadcaster from next year.

That would be a big step, as the BBC has been broadcasting the London Marathon since its debut in 1981.
