911 SAFARI
Lamborghini is readying a beefed up, rugged version of the Huracán, but it won’t be the only one to combine supercar pace with off-road capabilities, as Porsche is believed to be preparing a similar version of the 911.
Driving significantly higher than the standard car, this 911 variant is expected to take on the “Safari” or “Dakar” name in (most likely limited) production, in a nod to the rally-ready 911s that Porsche has historically entered into. the world’s most extreme rallies.
911 SPORT CLASSIC
The hugely collectible, retro-inspired Sport Classic version of the 997-gen 911 sold out within 48 hours of its unveiling in 2009 and you could pay around £300,000 for one of 250 today.
In reviving the concept for the current generation, Porsche will once again deploy a 1970s-inspired spoiler and flares, and it could reinvent the original 911’s characteristic Fuchs alloys for a modern audience.
