Hundreds of people expected at the funeral of murdered Doncaster man Ryan Theoboald today UK News

Ryan Theobald, 20, and Janis Kozlovskis, 17, were both fatally stabbed when violence erupted in the city center in the early hours of January 29.

Now, former footballer Ryan will make his last trip this afternoon with mourners who are expected to pack Rose Hill Crematorium to pay their respects.

The funeral procession will travel from the family home to Cantley Crematorium for the service at 3:40 p.m.

Ryan Theobald’s funeral will take place today.

Ryan’s mother Lisa asked mourners to dress smart, color-coded black and gold or black and blue.

It will be followed by a celebration of Ryan’s life at the Comrades Club in Bennetthorpe.

Ryan and his friend Janis both died when they were stabbed during a fight in Silver Street around 3.30am on January 29.

Amrit Jhagra, 19, of Cedar Road, appeared in court for both deaths and was remanded in custody.

Thousands of pounds have been poured into Ryan and Janis’ funeral funds, while a charity football match involving members of his former Bessacarr FC football team took place at Cantley Park.

An emotional vigil was also held in Elmfield Park, with friends and relatives coming together to release hundreds of balloons in tribute to the couple.

A shrine has also been built near the Danum Hotel in the High Street, near where the couple are believed to have died, with photos, flowers and candles left at the scene.
