Fiat 500L, £8,000: This supercharged Fiat 500 comes in top-spec Trekking trim with automatic lights, cruise control and a 5.0-inch infotainment screen, but it’s got a 94bhp 1.4-litre engine – the smallest available – so it will take 13.2 seconds to get up to 62mph. It also lacks the charm of the good 500.
