A 13-year-old boy has been taken to hospital following a suspected stabbing in Worthing town centre.
According to the police, five people were arrested.
Officers urged people to avoid the area as they respond.
Sussex Police reported a large presence, including officers carrying firearms.
An area near McDonald’s has been cordoned off.
