The M5 in Somerset and Gloucestershire is expected to be busy today as people head out for sunny weekend getaways. The highway, which sees thousands of commuters and travelers pass by each day, is so far clear this morning (Friday March 25).
Although it’s clear, the highway is still busy and things can change in an instant. The Met Office is forecasting a sunny weekend and many people have decided to head to the coast to make the most of it after a dreary winter.
Other key roads like the A303, M4, A38 and A39 are also expected to be busy. Highways England and Inrix, the travel monitoring site, confirm that the roads are all clear at the moment.
