Somerset man killed in crash in Cornwall Bath City News

A man believed to be from Somerset died in an accident on the A30 in Cornwall this afternoon. Police have confirmed a man has died and officers say the deceased is believed to be 60 years old and from Somerset.

The crash happened between B3274 (Victoria) and A39 (Indian Queens, Fraddon) around 3.25pm ​​this afternoon (March 25). All emergency services attended the scene, including an air ambulance, witnesses said, Cornwall Live reports.

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed only one vehicle was involved in the crash, despite earlier reports of multiple vehicles, but they did not reveal whether the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The westbound carriageway was closed for several hours while police conducted a forensic investigation, resulting in more than three miles of queues before a detour via Bugle was put in place. The road was cleared and the vehicles recovered around 8:30 p.m. this evening.

National Highways: Sud-Ouest posted at 9:20 p.m. on Twitter: “Traffic is smooth in all lanes and residual delays are eliminated.”

Devon and Cornwall Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact them using log number 514 and the date of the incident (March 25).
