A TRESPASSER on the tracks causes train delays.
Southern Rail said the incident caused a safety issue in the Falmer area.
As a result, trains will be forced to travel at reduced speed.
At 6.27pm, a spokeswoman for Southern Rail said British Transport Police arrived at the scene.
“We have been made aware of a trespassing incident in the Falmer area,” the spokeswoman said.
“For the sake of safety, the trains will run at reduced speed.
“Travel between Brighton and Lewes will be delayed while the individual is met.
“You can still use your normal route at this time, but we’ll let you know if that changes.”
