Nine Criminals Recently Sentenced by Yeovil Magistrate’s Court Bath City News

Here are the details of those recently convicted by Somerset Magistrates Court in Yeovil. Magistrates handle more than 90% of criminal cases.

Neirmal Singh, 53, of Whitefield Road, Bristol, was convicted on March 3, 2021 in Bristol of driving without a license and driving without insurance. Singh received six driving points, a £660 fine and was ordered to pay a £66 victim fine surcharge and £90 costs.

James Ian Hill, 22, of Lyde Road, Yeovil, admitted breaching the requirements of a community order. Hill was ordered to pay £60 in costs.

Natalie Beilby, 35, of Faithfields Close, Bristol, pleaded guilty to the charge of, on December 12, 2020 on the M4, driving at a speed greater than 70mph. Beilby received four driving points, a £274 fine and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and £85.01 in costs.

Michael John Sines, 46, of Coteford Close, Pinner, Middlesex, pleaded guilty to the charge of, on March 5, 2021 at the A303, driving at a speed greater than 60mph. Sines received three driving points, a fine of £146 and was ordered to pay a victim fine surcharge of £34 and £85 in costs.

Caley Arianne, 33, of Clipper Court, Street, pleaded guilty to the charge of, on December 19, 2020 in Tintinhull, driving without insurance. Arianne received six driving points, a £120 fine and was ordered to pay a victim fine surcharge of £34 and £85 in costs.

Andy Quarrington, 48, of Powderham Crescent, Exeter, pleaded guilty to the charge of, on June 5, 2019 in High Street, Portbury, driving at a speed greater than 20mph. Quarrington was sentenced to three driving points, a fine of £66 and a victim fine surcharge of £34.

Nigel Samuel, 60, of Market Way, Chudleigh, Newton Abbott, Devon, pleaded guilty to the charge of, on December 10, 2020 at the A303, driving at 64mph, speeding over 50mph. Samuel was sentenced to three driving points, a fine of £66 and a victim fine surcharge of £34.

Joanna Louise Bowers, 43, of Green Close, Sparkford, pleaded guilty to charges of, on April 1, 2021 in Bridgwater, driving without a license and driving without insurance. Bowers was banned from holding or obtaining a driving license for 6 months, fined a total of £160 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and £50 in costs.

James Stone, 49, of St Swithins Road, Bridport, Dorset, pleaded guilty to the charge of, on February 27, 2021 on the M5, driving at 57mph, speeding over 50mph. Stone was banned from holding or obtaining a driving license for 6 months, fined £58 and ordered to pay a victim fine surcharge of £34 and £110 in costs.
