Marshalls agree to acquire roofing specialist Marley for £535m Yorkshire News

The acquisition will be financed through a combination of cash and shares. A spokesperson described Marley as the “Marshalls of roofing”, a leading manufacturer and supplier of pitched roof systems for the UK construction market.

In a statement, Elland-based Marshalls said: “The board believes the acquisition of Marley represents a compelling strategic fit and will accelerate the company’s five-year strategy to become the world’s leading manufacturer of products for the built environment. United Kingdom.

“Marley expands the company into the pitched roofing market and adds a wide range of complementary products across the roofing system, including concrete and clay tiles, roofing accessories, wood battens, solar panels and roofing accessories.

“The board believes that the acquisition is in the best interest of the shareholders as a whole. Accordingly, the directors unanimously recommend that the shareholders vote in favor of the resolution in respect of the acquisition at the general meeting.”
