Abbeydale Road: Emergency incident in Sheffield as body of man found at home UK News

Police last night (Saturday April 9) confirmed local speculation that an emergency incident where Langdale Road was cordoned off involved the discovery of a man’s body.

Police said: ‘We received a call at 11.37am today over concerns about the welfare of a man at a property on Abbeydale Road in Sheffield. Emergency services responded and a man in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene. “There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and his family have been notified.

South Yorkshire Firefighters are calling on people to stay away from Abbeydale Road, Sheffield today, Saturday April 9, as emergency services deal with an incident

Neighbors said the searched property was an apartment above the shops.

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said on Twitter at 2pm: ‘Firefighters are currently on an incident in Abbeydale Road, #Sheffield and should be there for the next few hours.

“This is a multi-agency incident with @syptweet (police) and @YorksAmbulance

“Due to heavy traffic in the area, please avoid if possible.”
