The officer is reportedly not seriously injured and is being treated for an arm injury.
According to The Telegraph, the Metropolitan Police said: “At approximately 11.50am on Sunday April 10, police were called to reports that a machete-wielding man was suffering from a mental health crisis at an address in Skelton Road , E7.
“Officers were present – ​​an officer suffered an arm injury and was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition is not life threatening.
“Officers remain at the scene and attempt to speak with the man.
“The incident is still ongoing at this time.”
