Fern Britton admitted her neighbors saw her undress and dive into the water of what she thought was a quiet West Country blanket. CornwallLive reported that the 64-year-old TV presenter revealed she wasn’t as lonely as she thought.
Following her split from ITV This Morning TV chief Phil Vickery, Britton left her busy life in Cornwall for a more laid back and relaxed life in Cornwall. Still the television personality, Britton made a documentary about his new life for Channel 5 called “A Year by the Sea”.
Part of Britton’s attempt to bounce back from his breakup was this move to Cornwall. This included long-standing plans to dive into the English Channel.

However, she realized she was not alone in what she thought was an empty cove. Britton said: “I saw people on the cliff and thought, ‘Oh, b****r. “”
On top of that, she told the Mail that to begin with, she missed out on some of the conveniences of her old life. One included the personal driver she had given up: “The first month or so I was out of the house waiting for a car to come, because for ten years I had this wonderful driver who sneaked silently outside the house or my job – or if I wanted to go shopping in the West End.
“For a while, I was walking out the front door saying, ‘Where’s that damn car?'”
