A brand new series airs on BBC One tonight featuring a group of celebrities who take on challenges in sub-zero temperatures set by ‘The Ice Man’ Wim Hof.
Eight celebrities will forgo the comforts of their homes and face a series of cold challenges in northern Italy.
Record-breaking Dutchman Wim Hof will guide competitors as they push their bodies to the limits.
Hof, ‘The Ice Man’, has dedicated his life to showing others they can achieve things they thought were impossible, by controlling his mind and body in a barefoot half marathon above the circle arctic, by immersing yourself in the ice for 1h52. and climb Mount Kilimanjaro in just your shorts and shoes
The series will be presented by Holly Willoughby and Lee Mac.

What to expect in Episode 1 of BBC’s Freeze The Fear
Overwhelm
The first challenge, but by no means an easy start. The celebrities must undress in swimsuits and jump into a hole dug in a frozen lake. With the water temperature two degrees above freezing and the risk of hyperthermia taking only minutes to set in, this is not to be taken lightly. Will our celebrities engage in the experience and immerse themselves? Or will fear take over?
On the edge
In order to enter the village, their new mountain home. Celebrities will have to perform a terrifying face-to-face rappel down a 500-foot icy cliff. A number of the group have a deep-rooted fear of heights and, as some of them discover, the rock face is anything but solid.
