Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway Fans Need Hosts After Series Finale UK News

Ant and Dec let fans make the same request following the latest episode of Saturday Night Takeaway, after asking viewers for their thoughts on their hit show’s new run.

After two years of troubled series, with Ant and Dec even having to host separately from their living rooms, during the first national lockdown in 2020, and then having to present in front of a virtual audience wall last year, the latest series from the guys from Geordie The ITV program marked a real return to form. A take-out crowd was allowed for the first time since the start of 2020, meaning the studio was packed every week as Ant and Dec were joined by big names like Paloma Faith, Sam Fender, Michael Buble and Richard E. Grant.

Highlights of this year’s series included a live wedding ceremony, which took place on the unsuspecting bride as she sat in the audience ready to watch the show; an emotional Surprise Surprise-style reunion between a woman brought on stage to play a game and her daughter she hadn’t seen in years, Oti Mabuse and his hilarious I’m A Celebrity Get Out of My Eara and Polter Guys, the Ghostbusters inspired weekly segment, which featured a cast featuring everyone from Roman Kemp to Jo Brand.

After the credits for the Saturday Night Takeaway finale over the weekend, presenters Ant and Dec took to social media to share some snaps from this year and asked fans what moments stood out to them. And in the comment threads on Facebook and Instagram, there was one thing mentioned time and time again – their epic drag makeover.

2022’s first End of the Show Show saw Ant and Dec undergo a fabulous makeover to perform charity single We Werk Together with the stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK with fans utterly amazed as they helped the track rise to the ranks top of the iTunes charts. And now fans are calling on Ant and Dec’s drag aliases: Lady Antoinette and Miss Donna Lee to make a comeback.

One fan replied, “I have to be Lady Antoinette and Miss Donna Lee and they have to make an appearance next year!” Echoing those sentiments, another reacted, “You two in drag. This needs to happen again.”

Another follower told presenters: ‘Lady Antoinette and Miss Donna Lee must be the best, you two were amazing and I’m so jealous of your gorgeous legs,’ with a fourth respondent: ‘I didn’t realize it was was you two…..i kept saying…..when is A&D coming…and you were there…”
