A boutique-boutique celebrates 50 years of activity.
Owner Karol Solomons, 84, has been working six days a week at Harpers Boutique in Edgware since it opened in April 1972.
The family business has sold iconic UK and international brands over three generations of people who shop for the latest trends.
The owner is described as a “pioneer” who “brought international fashion to the suburbs”.
Singer Sam Fox and actor Jason Issacs joined the celebratory event, while model Jilly Johnson drew a lucky draw for a £250 winner.
The shop’s magazine paid tribute to Dame Barbara Windsor and encourages donations to Alzheimer’s Research UK as well as breast cancer charity Future Dreams.
