The restrictions can affect both men who walk around topless and women who only wear bikinis or bathing suits. It has been reported that fines of up to £250 have been imposed on Barcelona and Mallorca.

Britons can also be fined if they go to the beach to sleep under the stars. It’s illegal and in areas like Valencia you could be fined up to £1,240.

Camping on the beach is also illegal and could result in the payment of the same fees.
