Transport for London launches a new collection of inspired socks UK News

A new collection of Transport for London inspired socks has been launched to celebrate the capital’s most iconic transport through the use of yarn.

Sock brand The London Sock Exchange has teamed up with TfL to create six distinct pairs of socks.

Each pair has subtle designs inspired by the daily sights of the transport system, from Tube to Oyster cards, and train tickets familiar to any regular traveller.

There’s even a pair inspired by the beloved red buses with ‘The Routemaster’ socks with loads of buses around the sock.

Or if you’re looking for a more subtle design that still shows you love the network, then there’s ‘The Platform’ design which draws inspiration from the ‘Mind the Gap’ mantra with yellow and white lines around the sock.

Plus, if you’re a fan of brightly colored socks, you’re in luck, as there are even “The Gingerline & H&C” designs.

Inspired by Harry Beck’s iconic map of the London Underground network, he repeated

Dan Zell, co-founder of the London Sock Exchange, said:

“Transport for London is such a design icon, and working with the team over the last year on these socks has been a dream come true.

“We’re really proud of the socks we’ve made – they’re packed with the colour, detail and ingenuity you’d expect from a TfL service, distilled into sock form.

“I can’t wait to see them in action on London’s Tubes and buses soon.”

The socks cost £12 a pair and if you fancy wearing an iconic TfL you can buy them through the London Sock Exchange website.
