The AIR ambulance was called to the scene of a serious accident in Portslade.
Emergency services were spotted at the scene in Fox Way, Portslade at around 4.30pm today.
The accident involved a car and a motorcycle, according to reports.
Photographs show several police cars present, as well as the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb).
The road remains closed and traffic in the area is moving slowly.
An AA traffic update said: ‘Road closed and slow traffic due to serious accident, car and bike involved on Fox Way in both directions, Henge Way to Thornhill Rise.
“The air ambulance arrived at the scene after the accident at around 4:30 p.m..”
Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
