Orchard Pig added as new cider for Perfect Draft – How to Buy UK News

Craft beer site Beer Hawk has added its first-ever keg of cider for its Perfect Draft machine, to Orchard Pig Reveler.

Due to the expected demand for this product, Beer Hawk is limiting online orders to one keg at a time so that more people can have the chance to enjoy this new addition, and customers will be able to get 10 pints out of it.

It costs £35.50 per keg but comes with a plug which will need to be used in conjunction with the Philips PerfectDraft machine which will help dispense the pint.

This device and accompanying glassware cost £249, so it will obviously be an advantage if you already have it on you.

On the Beer Hawk website page for the Orchard Pig Reveler keg it says “More apples, less bubbles” is Orchard Pig’s philosophy, so Reveler is a slightly fizzy cider with lower carbonation than other ciders on the market.

“The reason for this is to create a more consistent pint. A pint that doesn’t lose that initial fizz as you enjoy it. This also makes it perfect for wine pairings, as less gas means more room for food!

“On the pour, you’ll see a slightly fizzy, golden cider without the usual head you’d find on a pint of beer. You’ll be able to smell the apples as soon as you start pouring, and the taste will end with lime-like acidity.”
